Constructing a new pool is a complex process that can takes considerable planning and effort. We’ve designed this page to help answer some of the key questions homeowners have when selecting a pool design and builder.

While we’ve tried to include a good bit of information on this website, we highly recommend you schedule a consultation. A team member can meet with you and discuss your pool project in person, as well as see the space you have to work with.

How long does it take to build a pool?

New pool construction and pool renovations are time-intensive projects. Typically, they can last anywhere from 4-6 weeks. We will establish a firm timeline depending on when you begin your project and the complexity of your design, and as always, we strive to work as quickly as possible.

How much does it cost to build a pool?

Pool construction projects vary drastically in cost mainly due to the size of the pool and material selections. Smaller pools cost around $45,000, while larger, more luxurious pool projects often cost $250,000 or more. We will help you find a pool design that is right your budget and yard.

Do you offer smart pool technology?

Every pool we craft can be controlled from a smartphone. Temperature, lighting, water falls, jets, fountains, bubblers, pump speed, clean modes, auto cleaning, equipment controls, etc. are all just a tap away on your phone or tablet.

What sort of maintenance should I expect with a pool?

All pools require routine maintenance. Cleaning of debris, vacuuming, unclogging filters, equipment checks, etc. should be performed routinely, and of course, water chemistry should always be monitored and balanced as needed.

Should I close my pool in the winter?

On the Gulf Coast, it is best to keep a pool running year-round. The equipment is designed to run continually, whereas plumbing systems sitting dry and exposed in a winter climate can become brittle. Another benefit to keeping the pool open is that you can avoid the unsightly water line stain when the pool is drained below the skimmer box for winterization.

Can you build pools year-round?

Yes, we construct swimming pools on a year-round basis. Certain tasks like plastering and other concrete work require minimum temperatures for proper curing, but those considerations are built into our timeline. Staycation Creation Pools will plan your project accordingly.
